My story in print.......

with BEST magazine,  Out in the shops now is BEST magazines Christmas Edition called BEST Christmas ever !!   On the front is a Christmas Wreath and The best of British Bakers Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood!  And there on page 26 is a double spread feature of me and my life as a carer dealing with Stroke!!   and of course Stampin Up....

I feel very proud even though I don't look too great in there, it was all very rushed and all very Eau Naturael I have to say....   I came across the Best magazine Ladies at the Bluewater craft show, they had a stand and was doing free make up makeovers and , the eve of the show Stamford my Staffie and I had collided and I ended up with a juicy Black eye, I asked the girls could they make me look Human  and a fabulous job was done!!   I had to have this done evryday for the four day show and we got talking crafts as you do and they asked me how did I get into card making??

Well pop to your local shop and read my story, I hope that it inspires Carers like myself to never give up Hope even when your worst nightmare comes and visits you, and that Card making was in fact my lifeline..

Here is a sample of the page and also some of the projects in the picture, using that lush velvet Acetate from the paper pack in the Winter Catalogue...

I have kept these simple, I wanted to show that not much is needed to make stunning cards, Just a Sentiment from the Greetings of the season stamp set from Stampin Up , Those fabulous metal ribbon sliders, very popular in class, I used the woodgrain folder for the green card, I used the new framelits from the Annual Catty, and I used a permanent marker on our beautiful sparkilng like no one else's Rhinestones to change the colour to match the velvet Acetate

I am proud to be a Carer and I am Proud to have met Stampin Up and the people  I have met along the way in my Journey into Card making, I have made the very BEST (pardon the pun!!) of friends and my closest I am taking with me to convention in Germany this year, we will have a ball of a time I just know!!

If you wish to join me in my Stampin Up journey please do give me a shout, we are a wonderful bunch and for £99 you will receive goods of your choice to the value of £130 plus a buisness pack that includes 8 annual catalogues to help you along in your journey, and this month and next purchase the kit and you could recieve  a pack os DSP paper once a month for the next 6 months totalling £60 worth of DSP paper, How cool is that!!

If I have inspired you please do let me know!!

Creative elements

Hello there, it's been a while hasn't it, I have been a busy bee, we had the show at Bluewater what a success that was, a fabulous show in it's first year and very local to me, I loved every minute of it..

Today I have a creation that I made for my Niece Kassie for her 21st birthday, Oh my!! time has flown by!!       My creation was inspired by a beautiful creation made by a fellow demo from Germany called Jennie Pauli, she makes stunning creations and I cased one her her beauties...

I used the apothcary framelits set, Creative elements stamp set and the ever so versatile letter it set, with a retired stamp set from the spring mini, and charms from the same mini....

The colours are shara sand and baja breeze, with crumb cake seam binding, and a touch of bling a real must have I think!!

Kassie adored her card and I hope you do too!!..

The country has gone....

Olympic crazy, I for one can't stop watching these Olympics, well I can't go anywhere as One I live on top of Olympic land the Traffic over here is mad, and Two my Poor car has been put of action for a few weeks now, and after having a dang in my Mum's car yesterday, I think I will give up the driving for the mo and just sit and enjoy the rest of the Olympics in comfort of my own seatee....

Now today I made a card using Create with Connie and Mary's challenge  HERE  this which is use Real Red, Saraha Sand and Black,  coupled with Mojo Monday's 253 Sketch this week HERE......

Now I am not sure I like the card I created, I love the colours, But I struggled somewhat with the Sketch, but then that's what  challenge should be all about, taking you out of your comfort zone..

I used the Stampin Up Delightful Dozen stamp set again, I kept it simple and as I wanted a card that was more male orientated than female, I substituted the Ribbon and bow for a strip of card stock and brads.  I used the Stampin Up Marvelous Markers again, so perfect for this type of stamp design.....

Thanks for popping by, Happy days!!

Delightful Dozen

Hello All are you enjoying the Olympics, It's kinda taken over our House here, never that much into sports, though I do endure the football for Paul's sake and the season is about to be upon us soon...

I noticed my last cards were the colours of Team GB how did that happen without me noticing it when making

Today's card is the card I made for My hubby Paul today is his birthday and I cased the front from a fab card I saw on the net, the watermark so small I can't read to give credit, the original card was made using bright colours, great for a lady but I wanted to use Regal's family  colours for Paul's...

I stepped it up a bit by 3Ding the Happy Birthday bit,  Used Brads instead of Rhinestones and stepped it up rather a lot inside using a new die from Sizzix for a Wow pop up bit, to which I popped some spondoolies (paper money) behind, it held it all quiet nicely...... I used Indigo Island, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive and Whisper White colour ways.

So the cards consists of two Sentiment stamp sets only The main from t image is from Delightful Dozen and inside is from For My Family.....    Love these two sets and it goes to show you don't have to have images to colour in or in fact any image on your card other than sentiments to get a Great effect!....

I am all excited as in less than 12 days I will be able to purchase on pre order some great products from our upcoming Winter mini catalogue, you too could get first dibbings if you join from the15th  of this month onwards as you can choose from the winter mini for your kit!!   How cool is that,   Click the side button on my sidebar to join Stampin Up and receive a cool discount on your products until at least end of December this year!!

Everything Eleanor

Over at the Simply Stampin Challenge Blog run by some fellow demo's they have a colour challenge, Rose Red, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and very vanilla.....

Mmmmmm!!!  I  thought now what can I create,  and there it was born CREATE sentiment in the Creative Elements set was the inspiration for my Picture frame...  Couple with Everything Eleanor they make a simply stunning creation...  I purchased the box frame a while back, it was untreated pine, so I scraped my Crumb cake across the wood to distress it, I might use my whisper white ink pad too I think....  I am starting to create items for the up and coming ICHF Craft show at Bluewater from the 6th Sept 2012 and this was the perfect combination...

I hope you like it as much as I do, why not pop the date in your diary and come and see it in the flesh!!

A Reason to Smile ...........

Still in the Triple time stamping mode and entering the challenge blog Dynamic Duo's with the challenge colours being Baja Breeze and Pirouette Pink, I decide to incorporate a fun fold in the way of an Easel card..   What's that stamp set I here you say well its a new one coming up VERY soon, Beautiful two step one, called A reason to smile ,  the sentiment is from the Apothecary Stamp set...

Let's hope I have a reason to smile today and that my car's very recently fixed alternator is just having a hissy fit and it's not the computer board, as I don't want it eating my pennies up as I have a massive wish list for the pre order on the 15th ....

Mmmmm not the best of photo's will have to do some more.....
Well I hope you like it!!
