Merry & Bright !!!!

Another cutie, don't ya think, I just lurve Great Impression stamps, and The Glitter Pot has a great selection, am sooo glad they got the Christmas ones in, He was just too cute not to put in me basket... The sentiment is a set of four Hero arts also from The Glitter pot though I got this last year.... I coloured with Watercolour pencils and the berries are in gelly roll... no glitter on this one!!! In the flesh the way the light glints off the gelly roll bits it don't really need glitter..
Again I kept this simple, suspending the ickle guy with gold memory wire....

Do you likey!!!

How do you make a winter friend....

A carrot and some coal and just add Snow...
I love this Elzybells dinkie set and as promised I have done a card with the third image, I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday, although not sure which one it is, it's not the current one!!!

I wanted to keep this card simple, I didn't want loadsa fussy papers taking away the beauty of the image and sentiment, The bling is from poundland you get loads on the sheet and they go from big to small, I coloured the image with prisma and Koh-i-noor pencils, and gelly roll pens, and finished with white gel pen and glamour dust...

I just lurve the simplicity of this card don't you!!!

Please do pop back later I am just making some more cardies and will be uploading them tonight....

Dreaming of an Elzybells Christmas.....

Aren't we all, with the stunning designs That Elizabeth has for purchase on the Elzybells website, A real must in any crafters stash, and if you haven't a chrissy elzybells then why not, I ask!!!

The two cards I am showing today, are using sketches, the first one from a spoonful of sugar, last weeks challenge 13 and a right fab sketch it is too, I can see me using this loads, and the second equally fab sketch is Laura's from 2 sketches 4 you!!
I used the same stash for both cards, the pp are from a paper stack by DCWV last christmas designs, I am sure I saw them at the glitter pot today.... The fabulous flowers are from Craftsulove, and the images and sentiments are the utterly gorgeous Cold nose warm heart Dinkies set from the fabby Elzybells of course!!!, This set is a right steel, it has Three images and three sets of sentiments, the other is a boy one, which I shall be showing very soon, The dinkies are smaller images than the original size and bigger than the Amuse size, and they are dinkie by name dinkie by nature, soooo ultra cute.... I am loving the daisy spacers in my ickle flowers, I first saw this on Bev's stunning cards, don't they look gorgeous... I doodled around the images and the red card, The red card blank is a die cut card blank from Sizzix, also at The glitter pot... Images coloured with watercolour pencils and glittered with Glamour dust....

Well I hope ya likes as much as I enjoyed inking these ickle dinkies and creating with them...

Feeling a little bogged eyed so didn't want owt taxing..... And you know me I lurves a sketch....

Well I have used some gorgegous double sided papers by imaginisce called Snowy jo from Craftsulove, and paula has some fabby pastel pencilis, that I used with sansador, though you don't need sansador if you don't have it, they work well with the paper stumps on their own just as well.... Here they are, and a fab price too, also the new range Penny Black Favourite time these girlies are soo cute don't ya think, the sentiment is by Lili of the valley new realease too, isn't it just fabby!!! Fits just nicely into the 1 1/8" circle punch... Gone for a burton!!!!

Well loads of you have been asking where has my blog header gone, To say I am upset is an understatement...

When we buy our crafts especially stamps we want to make the most of them , show them off, I thought I was doing just that with my handstamped header, but it seems to have upset someone!!!

I received an email from Stampingbella saying that I had to remove it because the artist of the fairies would not approve, and as there was a chance of my blog being removed if I did not do this, I decided my blog was worth more than advertising Bella stamps for free!!! God only knows why the artist would not approve, I am dumbfounded!!! and a little upset that my emails have not been replied too... I know I won't be buying anymore of the fairy range thats for sure....

A good friend has made me another one from one of my cards, and I thankgod for good freinds (you know who you are) my fairy godmother!!!!

Sketch Saturday # 11

Another sketch this time on the sketch saturday challenge blog, Well uguns the dragon has made another appearence he is just so adorable don't ya think!!!

Lili of the valley has sent a bundle of stamps, wooohhoooooo!!! how lucky am I... I am slowly getting through them.. they are super to work with and very reasonably priced too which is a bonus!!! The sentiment is from hero arts, I have flipped the sketch as I use glue to stick my bits down with, and stoopid me went to cut a piece of card ontop of my card blank that was half done, and when I looked I had made it go skiwiff, to put it right ment glue stain, but I loved the colours and didn't have much left to make another, so hence the flip....

again image coloured with Koh-i-noor pencils and sansador...

Pretty in Pink!!!

I don't know about you but I just love cards with a difference, mooching through some mags I found a diamond fold, now I have made the card with just one end done like this, but not two ends, and you know it were easier than it looked, I saw this one in making cards, i think the card was made by Lindsey Mason , not sure it don't say , but Lindsey's was made using Decoupage toppers. ( theres that technique again).... Well I decided to use embellishments, and I think I will try one with stamping, you really can use alsorts of technique with this kinda fold...

Anyhooss enough of my gabbling here's the card I have just made!!! All items can be bought from Craftsulove, the pack of gorgeous flowers are only £2.99 and wow you get loads, all different sizes too!! The brown flowers are bazzil wings that you get in a plastic jar... The sentiment is from a mini inkadinkado set... and brads are basic grey ones!!

Just me & my Dad!!!!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 22

This week the theme is 'The two of us'

We would like you to use two of something on your card, it could be 2 people, 2 animals or 1 of each, we love to see your own interpretation as always!
This week Nikki from Dewdrop Craftz has very kindly given us this gorgeous stamp to give away to one very lucky person who will be chosen at random next week.Do pop into the shop and check out the other fantastic stamps they have to offer!

Well when I saw the candy on offer for this challenge, I knew I just had to ink up my new Just me & my Dad stamp from Gina K Designs , one of a couple in this rnage and is super cute I think.... and not unlike the stamp that Nikki from Dewdrop carfts has donated, The sentiment is made from the studio g alpha sets...and papers are papermania, again another simple card, I am inundated with commission at the mo, but just needed a break and do a card just because!!!

Complete cardmaking!!!!

Oh wow my copy of complete cardmaking issue 12 dropped through the letter box this morning, I opened to find my cards are center piece on front cover, I am sooo excited....

I was asked to do stamping woth magnolias, I would like to thank Craftsulove for donating all the items to me use for this article, so all can be purchased from Craftsulove from cardstock to brads.... if you wish to lift the card completely it is my humble pleasure!!

My thoughts out loud part 2

Thankyou all for your comments , interesting I thought, and whilst I did state, my thoughts were on techniques not card designs, some people commented on credit...

So where credits due, I shall give my credits on decoupage and watercolouring as those are the techniques I talked about in my thoughts!!

Watercolouring, I learnt this at school I went to Bacon's school in Bermondsey, I can't remember Teachers name, but do the Head Master Mr Ing, so I credit Mr Ing and his art staff for teaching me this, although I could really say it were me Mum and Nan.... so big credits to them too....

But I would also like to credit my friend The Fabulous Stampingcaz, coz she inspired me very much in the colouring techniques, and to my good friend Shirley for making me get into stamping in the first place , coz dare I say it, I hated it at first...

Now we go onto Decoupage,a couple of credits here, and my main credit for teaching me decoupage goes to Judy from crescent quilling, and again to my mum and nan!! yes i started at an early age... and to Gaynor for inspiring me to see another side to some stamps even though I had done this technique several times before.....

But I will say whilst giving credit where credit is due, I make my own card designs all you see on my blog are my designs if i lift designs like we all do none of us can say we don't we would be lying to ourselves, even though techniques are antiques in their age!!! So CREDIT TO ME TOO!!

I may lift cards designs for my own use, I DON'T lift card designs and teach them in store workshops!!! And whatever I do teach in workshops those crafters paid for those ideas, so they are no more bound by copyright than than my left foot!!!

Sketch 8 at Papertake weekly...

Katharina has another fabby sketch for us over at papertake weekly
Katharinas Sketch #8
Hi everyone! Thanks to all of you who joined us for last weeks Christmas challenge! I know it seemed a little strange to some of you, making Christmas cards in the hot weather, but I figured we'd at least make a start on them lol!!! I promise not to do anymore for a month or two.....!!!
Onto this weeks sketch by Katharina - it's another brilliant one, which I'm sure I'll use again! Those who are new to sketches, yes, you can rotate/flip the sketch as some of the designers have shown us this week - as long as you can see the sketch somewhere in the design lol!

Well I thought that I would use my new papers from stampin up that I ordered from Stampingcaz they are just scrummy, and feel fabulous to touch!!! they are the prints designer series range in rose red and they are doublesided...., The scalloped edge is a piece sliced from the bazzill 12 x 12 scallop card stock with has it holes already punched, how cool is that, I got this from The glitter pot, and the sentiment is from a hero arts clear set from craftsulove... The girly is a penny black from The glitter pot too!! hope ya liked, have kept it simple as am very busy at this week I seem to be chasing me tail all over the place!!!

Thankyou for joining in , in my thoughts outload your input is much appreciated ....

My thoughts out loud!!!!!

I am thinking out loud about something I have been pondering over, and my question in my thoughts is CAN YOU COPYRIGHT A TECHNIQUE???, Such as, lets say for arguments sake Decoupage technique,be it cutting out photo picture or stamped images.

Now my thoughts are you can no more copyright decoupage techniques in this century any more than you can copyright watercolouring techniques, well not unless you are well more than a 100 years old and it were you who thought it up in the first place or been left that copyrighted technique to you in the orignators will.

A design well that's different, a card or layout that you personally thought up, I can understand that, but my thoughts and they are just my thoughts you can not take ownership of a technique especially if someonelse showed you how to do it in the first place!!!!!

Now I am not talking about credits to people I am talking about taking ownership!!!

What say you, I would like to hear your thoughts!!! Mmmmm or have I just set a big fat hungry cat amoungst the pidgeons!!!
