Merry christmas all.....

Sorry haven't been around much, been running Paul around to footies games and then over to Belgium, it has been a very busy week thats for sure....

Well I would like to thank everyone for their kind words of congrats, but I sure was brought back down to earth with a very big bump..... I took me Nan for her results on tuesday and it were not good at all, she has a Rare slow growing tumour in her groin and it has been there for at least 3yrs apparently by the size of it, so they say.... this tumour has a name but for the life of me I can't think what begins with an L , but only a handful of people in the world has it... this tumour grows and pushes against the bones and breaks them, st thomas' want to refer her to the royal marsden in london for treatment and also research, me nan is 82 and she ain't having none of it... well we will be going back to st toms, in february, and me and me mum are trying to coax her into at least talking to consultants at the marsden, my uncle has looked this tumour up on the net and there is a lady in america who has one for the last six years and she is well and climbing mountains apparently....

I reccieved my cricut expression yesterday all the way from USA so that lightened me spirits, What a bargain it was, all I had to do was swap over the plug end a wolahhh.... cutting beautifully just gotta get used to the different bits that are not on the baby one....

Well I shall wish you all a merry christmas, and send hugs to those who are poorly and a special hug to my friend Caz......
take care all Kim x

Unusual cards...

A few weeks ago I went to creatives for a class taught by Lousette Ashton, we made this lovely card

I loved it sooo much I have been making more since and have altered the design a little, I wanted to make it bigger as it were originally 4 x 4 inch card...

Here is my take on it hope ya like... Mmmmm you can't really see the glitteratie on it

A million love songs later.......

Ohheeee don't ya just lurve that song, mmm Gary Barlow!!!!!

Well I have long awaited to see me man in action once again, missed out on getting tickets last time, but was sure as hell determined to get one this time, so tonite I shall be seeing my guys in action at the 02 dome which is up the road from me.... poor Paul the only way to get me a ticket without truly pulling me hair out was to drag him along, as Paul is in a wheelchair since his accident a few years back.... And it's buy one get one free, and a lot easier to get through to ticket office, mind you parking is £20.00 what a rip off, think I shall park in the train station and puch him the rest of the way...

bless him.. but hey I have to trapes all over the country driving him and his friend to footie and sit for three hours in a freezing car, so thats the least he could do for me, what say you......

Oheee a million love songs later, let it shine, let it shine... :((((( bit sad won't be seeing Robbie this time....

I just had to case this card.......

Whilst attending a beautiful class at creative living today, I spied a Design created for a class by Faye I just had to case.... I cased the first one near on exact, I just loved it so, and thought that this would work very well for my second card...

The first one was using winobella and bella text, the second my fave Bella of the moment Snowbunnybella, and a sentiment by My sentiments exactly....

Ever felt like a real sew n sew ????

That's the theme for the new challenge over at Scrummy stash cafe.... To use felt, and Real stiching not Faux....

Well I got meself one of this ickle sewing machines, I thought Yayyyy!!!! gonna get an airing from it's box, Ohhhheee nahhhh more like throw it through the flamin window, Could I get to grips with it, Now I am not shy of sewing machines, I have a big one, I used to make me own curtaining swags and tails, roman blinds and they ain't simple stuff, BUT this thing well I wanted to to stamp on it, and not the rubber kind either!!!

In the end, I just kept it simple and cut out felt flowers with me cuttlebug and sewed between each petal, again I used a magnolia image that I swapped with Shary (thanks muchly Shary)...

The sentiment is an A Muse one from Creative Living....

Getting Corrugated with Daring cardmakers

Getting Corrugated...
Hi all :) This week it is Jo here to set the dare...

I seem to have developed a little bit of a fixation with old cardboard boxes....! My dare this week is to use some corrugated card on your card - it could be corrugated craft card or an old box etc. taken to pieces :) You could make the card blank from it or die cut shapes etc...

Well I am getting into the swing rather like a monkey really swinging from challenge to challenge, I just can't stop, well I searched for corrugated and found some in a folder, it had holes to the side so I used my scallop scissors and cut edges for each side, Used Pink Petticoat papers, a magnolia stamp, and sentiments fromcraftworkcards and of course my resdident bling the crystal.....

Not quite sure if this creation but hey show the good with the bad... hope you likey, do also check out the wonderful creations over at daringcardmakers too

Show us your Scallops!!!

Another Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge creation...

Show us your Scallops!!!

Yes, it's day two of the challenges and today I, Samm, get to set the challenge.

I would like you to use scallops somewhere in your card or layout, they don't need to be perfect so grab those scissors, die cutters, scalpels and go to town, you can even use pre made scallops, we just want to see your wonderful creations.

Well I have just made another challenge card again from the Scrummy stash Cafe blog, this time using products from their Chalk Garden Card kit, If ya haven't purchased their card kits before, you are really missing something, they are brill and crammed with beautiful products and Instructions on fabulous creations to boot....
The crystals and ribbon come from Craftworkcards and sentiment stamp is part of a set by inkadnkado repositional stamps from craft art uk...

Craftworkcards

Oh am ever so excited, my recipe cards were on the door mat when I came home yesterday, and there I am amoungst the creations of Julie Hickey and Steffi Heeson, oh I do so feel quite proud, only wished I could show you my creations, My daughter Winnie is showing them off to her friends...lol

I really enjoyed making them and hope that the recipents of the Recipe card suscriptions enjoy them as much I as did...

well I am perplexed!!!

To say the least, yesterday morning my Ironing board fell to pieces and it weren't a cheap effort neither, so off I goes to Bexleyheath this afternoon to get another, and found what I thought were a fabulous ironing board a space saving one, now I am all for space saving espesh if I can fill the saved space up with crafting stash!!!!

Oh lord almighty what a kerfuffle I have gotten meself in, arms legs feet everywhere, and NO not mine either, the flamin ironing board well whoever thought up this one must have been having a bad hair day I gotta tell ya!!

And at £32 well it's going back tommorrow stuff the school shirts, I think i'll get the cats to sit on em and get the creases out...

I have never come across such a load of crap, and dangerous ain't in it, does anyone have one of these !!!!

Bella update!!!

Some are wondering if Creative living/pastimes has had their bellas arrive yet, well yesterday I did notice a nearly full stock of them, esp christmas ones, I know they are still awaiting more, but there a a good load to choose from so go give em a vist or ring them, they are always happy to oblige, and if ya do visit coz there ain't nothing better than to touch and feel scrummy stash don't forget those fabulous primas.....

Oh and another piece of important info, they are updating their website can't wait to see it, Teresa and Faye said I will be on there!!!!!

Saturday, 27 October 2007

Wow have you ever seen sooo many Beautiful

Prima flowers in one place you can get them from here

Oh my I have had the most fabulous day at creatives living, (formally known as Creative pastimes) in Limpsfield, surrey and Kent borders... and look what I found, the ever elusive prima flowers amd wow do they have the most stunning array of colours and styles to die for, theres loads of em there is.... and I spied the most lucious velevet ribbon sets with colours that remind me of icecream and christmas pud!!!

I just has to buy loads of primas and also bought papers, In my opinion Creatives truly have the best selection of quality Scrapbooking/Cardmaking papers in one place and for me no one can touch them for the selection..

And of course the cafe is a must when visiting this fabby shop, the Homemade Curried Parsnip Soup, and door step bread was to die for.... Topped off with Homemade Cake... yummy to say the least!!!!
