Michael Kors inspired Jackson Bag, Sweet Dreams DSP Stampin Up UK

Today I am sharing a fab bag that was inspired by a Micheal Kors bag that a fellow demo Elaine Jackson over at Papercraft Button Blog has made, please do pop over to check out the fabulous Tutorial Elaine has shared,  HERE...  Now I have made this bag using the Gift Box Punch Board but Elaine has very kindly done two videos for us, one using the Gift Box and one using the Envelope Punch Box.

I have used the Sweet dreams DSP (this paper is real nice not just for baby creations) , and have picked my favourite colours of the moment, Hello Honey and Basic Grey,..

Are you getting itchy for the new Stampin Up annual catalogue , I have them in the house, if you have ordered from me in the last 12 months one will be posted out to you this week, wooohooooo,   if you want one and haven't ordered through me, the cost will be £5 delivered to your door which will be refunded when you make an order of £20 or more...

Well here is the creations for today, I have to say this bag was super easy to make so please do give it a go and share it with me.....  The bag is big enough to take chocolates or 4x4 cards and envelopes..

Stampin Up Regionals Telford Swaps and Team GIfts

Hello there
Simple Sunday time here at Simplyfairies

Recently at Stampin Up we had our regionals and at these events its full on with swapping and gifting,  This years event was all about the new annual Catalogue and business training in our new career plan, ...   We had a fun time with Chris our Demo Support who dressed up as a catalgoue myself and fellow sideline team memebers teased him some what with our team scarves, we are called the Stampin Stars and we all have a scarf with stars on,  there were 67 of us Stampin Stars, We always seem to make the company photos, perhaps its because we are always full of fun and laughter at these events,  we have become firm friends and I just know they will always be in my life...

My swap was a 4x4 card using the new colour Watermelon Wonder, I used the Petal Potpourri,  I  know I am using it to death, but hurry up if your wanting this set as I can confirm it has not sadly made the annual catalogue so will no longer be for sale come 3rd June,

If you are purchasing this from me please don't forget to take advantage of the hostess code for your free gift from me when making your purchase from my online shop, the code is over on the right near the top,

I stamped in momento Black ink, and used my stamp a ma jig to then stamp over in Watercolour Wonder, what I thought was going to be a simple card for swapping, as we do loads,  I did 40 of these and they took loads longer than I anticipated, hence only doing 40 ! I used a design that I had in a previous posting......

I had several of my team join me this year, and I made small gifts full of chocolate and Mint Polo's and hubby managed to get me some star shaped chocolates, they were very well received,  Thank God,....

Spring Papercraft Event

Hi everyone!
My name is Lesley and I've been invited to guest blog for Kim today.
You may have noticed recent posts on both Kim's facebook page, or my own, advertising our Spring Papercraft Event. We had change things a little as some people wanted to come but weren't available on the Saturday. With this in mind we decided to to a couple of smaller events on different dates. The first took place a couple of weeks ago.
My project was a mini book. Now, I do have to say, this was not my own design. I've had it in 'storage', aka my brain, for ages and can't remember where I originally saw it. In an effort to give credit to the originator I checked out google but there were so many similar mini books I was unable to pin this down.
Here is the front cover...

The DSP throughout is from the Stacked With Love Mat Stack. A bargain - only £6.25 for 48 sheets (each 11.4cm x 16.5cm).
Here are some shots of the inside....

I do hope you've enjoyed a little peep at the project. I know Kim will love to share all the fab things she taught that day too!
Thank you to Kim for letting me join you today and thanks for your company!

Hallett bag for Simple Sunday

Hello There,

A new challenge blog is up and rung, and it has an awesome design team, all are Stampin Up Demos and are some of the best around, I am excited about this challenge blog it's called TGIF  you can pop along HERE and check out the fantastic creations the design team have made for their first ever challenge,
It's a colour challenge, and i decided to make a gift set in a bag, which I am calling the Hallett bag , since this bag in a box is taking Facebook by storm after my friend and downline team member Jan B HERE made some and showed them on Facebook, and it uses a tutorial  HERE from a demo friend Caroline, AKA Crafty Hallett, hence the Hallett bag, .... Please do try it , it really is very simple to make..... The bag is really dinky  and holds four 4x4 square cards and envelopes, I adore it, I can't stop looking at it, Ha Ha, ...

Anyways I am entering this set in the TGIF challenge #TGIFC01

I used the masking technique as I wanted to over lay the flowers on each other, I used the fab  Stampin Up Petal Potpourri  stamp set again, I am gutted to say it has not made the new catty thats coming so if you are like me and love this set you have until the beginning of June to purchase it, If you wish to purchase through my online shop please use the current Hostess in the right hand panel of the blog at the top...

It's your perfect day....... Stampin Up UK

It's what would you like to see Wednesday time, ....

I got a request for wedding cards, now I don't in general make many of these, infact perhaps
in my whole crafting lifetime I have made a handful if that,,...   That said I do love the spring catty offering of, It's your day stamp set and thought it could be  used for all manners of occasions,   I took inspiration from other makes on the net, I loved what fellow demo Michelle Last did with her make recently and Incorporated the vellum flowers, such a lovely touch...

I have used the beautiful no more to be brushed Gold card stock , oh why oh why Stampin Up have you got rid of this stuff!!! *sniff sniff*

Firstly I stamped the Circle image in Sahara Sand then the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing powder, punched out three flowers in vellum, finished off with pearls one flower punch is retired, One card I used the mask from the beautiful Artisan Embellishment kit and sponged Sahara Sand through the openings and then once again stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Gold...

      Simple and understated

Sorry for poor photo quality I will try and take better ones and replace them.

Gift Box Card set for Simple Sunday

Hello there!

What a lovely day after yesterday's rotten weather,

A day late apologies for that, been very busy week ,  we had our all day spring event on Saturday and Sunday was spent at the cemetery to visit my sisters grave,
Now she was 5 when she was killed and we have a lovely stone for her and my mum made some beautiful troughs with a plant in to sit on the stone the last time we were there a couple of weeks back, and when we returned yesterday someone  had pulled out the plant dumped and dumped it on the stone and pinched the trough, now what is that all about, well mum had bought three of these from poundland and they had a particular pattern on them and had put one on each of my nans grave, my cousin and my sisters,

So off we went in search for the trough only to find it a couple of rows back on a grave that had  a stone but been newly dug and full to the brim with wreaths, and there sitting on the stone complete with the peat that the plant was in, and a hole where the plant had sat in it still, ....  Rather upsetting to say the least , to pinch from anyones grave is bad enough but to pinch from a child's one, well beyond me I have to say..

Well the daffodils mum planted around the grave was in full bloom and looked beautiful just as my sister was....

So when I came home I set about making some thank you cards gift sets, using the Petal Potpourri set from Stampin Up  to make some daffodil looking images, when I finished I realised that the colour way was this weeks colour challenge #ctd339  #colorthrowdown over at Colour throw down challenge blog HERE,

Peculiar where one gets ones inspiration from ain't it.

I used the the box measurements from my friend and team member Linda Kaspairian's gorgeous card and gifts sets she makes, you can visit Linda HERE...

Simple Sunday with Painted Petals Stampin Up UK,

Hello there and welcome to Simple Sunday's as I said in my previous post I am now challenging myself to blog more regular, .

Today's creations are 4x4" cards just perfect for Thank you cards...

I have used the retired papers Irresistibly Yours from Sale a Bration last month, I do hope we get similar in the new annual catalogue thats coming our way on the 1st of June,   In keeping with the simple theme I have used a very Simple yet great technique using a sponge and ink pad for sponging colour making the pattern pop, a simple sentiment popped up on dimensionals to give texture, and using the sentiment from the Painted Petals Stampin Up stamp set...

Another pop of colour form the card stock using the itty bitty accent flower  and star punches with a dash of silver metallic cotton thread behind it, and finished with sparkly rhinestone.

If you would like to have a go I have some kits to sell, you will need to supply the ink and the sentiment, but everything else is supplied cut and prepped read for you to stamp and assemble for £3.50 including postage.

Hope you like!

More green I hear you say, ,,,

Earlier I came across a Pop Up Book card on a fellow demos from  across the pond called Deb Valder, just click HERE          FAB-U-LOUS.....

Deb said don't put this card aside it's NOT hard at all, well I had to try and to be fair to Deb it really isn't it has all the WOW you need and not a lot of FUSS to do... It's all about the inside....

This one is going to be entered to the CAS Challenge 118 HERE, yes another one, there was Greens on the table so I just got on with it, and then thought oh I can enter this one too might as well.......

I am in the process of doing another one, I liked it that much...

Oh I did say that I would show the retired creations , perhaps I will do that tomorrow.....
