Stampin Creative Blog Hop Casing the Stampin Up Catalogue

It's time for the Stampin Creative monthly Blog Hop,  you may have pop here from Pip's fab creations HERE

This months hop is all about casing the catty,  Do you lack time,  has your Mojo gone on a summer hols,   Need a card in a hurry then casing is the way to go,.

You don't need to copy directly, you don't even need to have the stamps that have been used on the card or project,  I chose cards that I don't have the products that have been used  just took the layout and played about,..   I have 3 cases for you hope you like..

First up is a card on page 35

I used  the new Expressions Natural Elements, lovely wood veneer words, the DSP used is from the English Garden DSP , Crumb Cake Card Stock, finished off with Hello Honey flowers punch using the accents punch set, Linen Thread and Rhinestones. The embossing Folder used is the Large Polka Dot.

Next up is a card cased from page 11

For this one I used a set that I hankered a long time for, it first made its appearance in the U.S when photopolymer came on the SU Scene, the Endless Birthday Wishes,  I did a very happy Dance when I saw this in the catty,   I turned the design vertical and made the cake pop other than in a window....added some stamped sprinkles, I coloured the image using the blender pens for a watercolour effect, .......

Next up is one from page 42,  though I don't have this set, it will be in my basket in the very near future there is some amazing creations in blogland using it,
but for now I have again used the Endless Birthday Wishes set, I also wanted to show that if you like the Washi Tape effect but didn't have any to hand then you can just make your own with strips of DSP.........

Well that all from me for now, do pop back soon as I have been trawling the challenge blogs again, and you might just like what I have made...

But for now please follow on to Eimears blog HERE where some fab delights await you

Freshly made

Hello again,

Today's card is using the Freshly made sketch #FMS191 HERE a simple sketch with lots of scope I think, again. I have used the  stamp set Garden in Bloom again and the same colours, just because they were still on my table, I am excited about this new Annual Catalogue and I have loads of products on my very big wish list, Whilst i have used a retired colour in the Costal Cabana, you can swap it out for Pool Party and thats just as nice, ...

The speckles are from another amazing new set called Awesomely Artistic, I stamped the flower twice once on the mat piece and again on another piece of card and then cut and layered up using a dimensional, to get the textured look , I screwed the flower into a ball and then unfolded it before layering on top of the matted image....

Hope you like, see ya soon.....

Colour Me Subtle with Garden in Bloom Stampin Up Set

Hello There,

I happened upon a great challenge blog this week, called Colour Me Card Challenge, HERE and the challenge is the use of These fabulous colourways.

When I saw this challenge CCMCC±76  I knew exactly what I wanted to make, I fell in love with a stamp set from our new Annual Catalogue called Garden in Bloom,
Now I loved Painted Petals so this one I was pleased to see since Painted Petals didnt make the new catty,....

It was a bit of a faff to line up the 2nd part of the stamp I won't lie, but you know what I wasn't going to be too precious about it, it is a watercolour effect kinda of set so I just stamped and plonked and I just love the results. I hope you do too!

I used crystal effects to add droplets of water to the petals and leaves,

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop "Casing the catty with Cherry on top DSP" Stampin Up UK

It's that time of the month for another Stampin Creative Blog Hop,  welcome if you have popped over here from Mikaela's blog wasn't Mikaela's  HERE creations fab,   the challenge to the team was to use up coming products from the new Stampin Up annual catalogue thats launching 2nd June, wooohoooo
you are in for a treat soooo many fab products to choose from you wont know where to turn,....

Right onto the hop on my pre order I ordered just the new in colour inks, pens and cardstock and a DSP paper pad, I earned free spends ( one of the things I love about Stampin Up is that you can earn freebies) but there was loads on my wish list that wasn't on the pre order list so I am saving my free spends till 2nd June, so for the Blog Hop I was limited somewhat, but that didn't stop me from creating it only set the challenge more for me, and thats what challenges are all about don't you think?

I used the cherry on top DSP and cased a card totally on page 109 of the new catty and made a tiny Jackson bag, whilst the previous Jackson bag was made using a 12x12 sheet this one used a 6x6 sheet from the new size paper pad, I do love making dinky creations.. It stands 1 1/2 inches high not including the handles,   I used the Gift Box Punch Board for this....

With these cards I have used the Delightful Dijon and Tip Top Taupe colours with the Petal potpourri , on the 2nd of june you can order from the retiring catty, spring catty and the new annual catty but just for one day only!!  Please do follow on the Blog hop to Caro's blog  HERE she has some fabulous things to share with you too,..

Stampin Up Regionals Telford Swaps and Team GIfts

Hello there
Simple Sunday time here at Simplyfairies

Recently at Stampin Up we had our regionals and at these events its full on with swapping and gifting,  This years event was all about the new annual Catalogue and business training in our new career plan, ...   We had a fun time with Chris our Demo Support who dressed up as a catalgoue myself and fellow sideline team memebers teased him some what with our team scarves, we are called the Stampin Stars and we all have a scarf with stars on,  there were 67 of us Stampin Stars, We always seem to make the company photos, perhaps its because we are always full of fun and laughter at these events,  we have become firm friends and I just know they will always be in my life...

My swap was a 4x4 card using the new colour Watermelon Wonder, I used the Petal Potpourri,  I  know I am using it to death, but hurry up if your wanting this set as I can confirm it has not sadly made the annual catalogue so will no longer be for sale come 3rd June,

If you are purchasing this from me please don't forget to take advantage of the hostess code for your free gift from me when making your purchase from my online shop, the code is over on the right near the top,

I stamped in momento Black ink, and used my stamp a ma jig to then stamp over in Watercolour Wonder, what I thought was going to be a simple card for swapping, as we do loads,  I did 40 of these and they took loads longer than I anticipated, hence only doing 40 ! I used a design that I had in a previous posting......

I had several of my team join me this year, and I made small gifts full of chocolate and Mint Polo's and hubby managed to get me some star shaped chocolates, they were very well received,  Thank God,....

Spring Papercraft Event

Hi everyone!
My name is Lesley and I've been invited to guest blog for Kim today.
You may have noticed recent posts on both Kim's facebook page, or my own, advertising our Spring Papercraft Event. We had change things a little as some people wanted to come but weren't available on the Saturday. With this in mind we decided to to a couple of smaller events on different dates. The first took place a couple of weeks ago.
My project was a mini book. Now, I do have to say, this was not my own design. I've had it in 'storage', aka my brain, for ages and can't remember where I originally saw it. In an effort to give credit to the originator I checked out google but there were so many similar mini books I was unable to pin this down.
Here is the front cover...

The DSP throughout is from the Stacked With Love Mat Stack. A bargain - only £6.25 for 48 sheets (each 11.4cm x 16.5cm).
Here are some shots of the inside....

I do hope you've enjoyed a little peep at the project. I know Kim will love to share all the fab things she taught that day too!
Thank you to Kim for letting me join you today and thanks for your company!

Hallett bag for Simple Sunday

Hello There,

A new challenge blog is up and rung, and it has an awesome design team, all are Stampin Up Demos and are some of the best around, I am excited about this challenge blog it's called TGIF  you can pop along HERE and check out the fantastic creations the design team have made for their first ever challenge,
It's a colour challenge, and i decided to make a gift set in a bag, which I am calling the Hallett bag , since this bag in a box is taking Facebook by storm after my friend and downline team member Jan B HERE made some and showed them on Facebook, and it uses a tutorial  HERE from a demo friend Caroline, AKA Crafty Hallett, hence the Hallett bag, .... Please do try it , it really is very simple to make..... The bag is really dinky  and holds four 4x4 square cards and envelopes, I adore it, I can't stop looking at it, Ha Ha, ...

Anyways I am entering this set in the TGIF challenge #TGIFC01

I used the masking technique as I wanted to over lay the flowers on each other, I used the fab  Stampin Up Petal Potpourri  stamp set again, I am gutted to say it has not made the new catty thats coming so if you are like me and love this set you have until the beginning of June to purchase it, If you wish to purchase through my online shop please use the current Hostess in the right hand panel of the blog at the top...

It's your perfect day....... Stampin Up UK

It's what would you like to see Wednesday time, ....

I got a request for wedding cards, now I don't in general make many of these, infact perhaps
in my whole crafting lifetime I have made a handful if that,,...   That said I do love the spring catty offering of, It's your day stamp set and thought it could be  used for all manners of occasions,   I took inspiration from other makes on the net, I loved what fellow demo Michelle Last did with her make recently and Incorporated the vellum flowers, such a lovely touch...

I have used the beautiful no more to be brushed Gold card stock , oh why oh why Stampin Up have you got rid of this stuff!!! *sniff sniff*

Firstly I stamped the Circle image in Sahara Sand then the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing powder, punched out three flowers in vellum, finished off with pearls one flower punch is retired, One card I used the mask from the beautiful Artisan Embellishment kit and sponged Sahara Sand through the openings and then once again stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Gold...

      Simple and understated

Sorry for poor photo quality I will try and take better ones and replace them.
