Clean and Simple ? #tgifc14 July Remix!!

Today I thought I would join in on a challenge,

I love the TGIFC here and having missed the weekly ones I thought I would catch up and do the remix,    #tgifc14 July Remix!!

which is taking two of the last four challenges and mixing them up for your make..

I chose these two challenges:

Oh my I have made a BIG mistake in my gathering of products to use,  I picked up Rich Razzleberry instead of Blackberry Bliss, arrggghhhhh!

Oh well I have made them now I will still enter them even though they don't now qualify as it's good to share, ...

I decided to do the smooch technique again, this time making the focal point a sentiment, my cards are 9.5 cm square , The happy Birthday comes from a Hostess set called Happy Birthday Everyone, the other comes from the Happy Happenings Stamp Set both from Stampin Up, stamped in Black and embossed in Clear Embossing Powder..... Two very Simple and Clean ? cards.....

Stampin Creative Blog Hop July....... featuring Stampin Up Watercolour Wings Bundle

Hello there, It's that time for a fab  blog hop again, with the  Stampin Creative Team, and by are they creative...

This months remit was Summer Lovin,  and this month we have hopped a day later on the Saturday instead of the Friday,..
You may have popped over from Emma HERE always very creative is Emma

Well what came to mind when the remit was revealed, ICE CREAM,   Neapolitan oh my that was me favourite as a child,  and Butterflies, oh soooo pretty........ Well I didn't know what to choose out of the two so I didn't,  I used both, The colours of the Ice Cream ( Soft Suede, Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron)  and the Watercolour Butterflies Bundle.

I didn't use the Butterfly Stamp as I wanted to use a technique I came across on you tube called Smooching,  A technique where you squish the ink pad onto something slippy like a clear block that you use for your stamps, or perhaps white paper laminated that kind of thing, and then spritz with water, gently (not drown) and then take a piece of Acetate lay over the ink so that it grabs the ink and water and then take the acetate and lay this on your cardstock and then smooch it down with your fingers, making pretty patterns I used Stampin Up Shimmery White card so that it shimmered and held the watery ink well without buckling to much..

When I was happy with the effect I created I then die cut the large Butterfly from the Bundle , the spots were part of the stamp set, these were also stamped onto the Shimmery White, oh such Lushness!!

Please do follow the blog hop on to Eimear HERE where fab delights await you,..

Celebrate with Remarkable you......

Todays creations are for one of my team members, who had done amazing sales in June, I wanted to celebrate with her and send her a small gift all dressed up to kill,..

I got her a beautiful Glitzy Keyring with her initial on, and made a treat bag to put it in, ... Now when I made my first treat bag using the treat bag die, I could not fathom out why I couldn't get the two pieces I cut out to fit together, I spent a good hour , and in the end gave up, only to find the next day when clearing it all away that the bag bit if the die infact comes in two different parts, ha ha how silly of me, it still tickles me when I think about it,...

Anyway, loving the wooden sentiments embellishments I centered the card round the Celebrate sentiment, and stamped You are remarkable on the bottom,   again I  used the English Garden DSP.....

It's all about the DSP... English Garden DSP , SUO Challenge

Today's creation is a small gift to cheer a friend up, we all need a little cheering up now and then and I found the perfect gift, a lovely little pen with her name on, that clips on your keyring.. and am entering this in the SUO Challenge it's a;; about the DSP

SUO Challenge #126 – Designer Papers!

I needed to make a box for the pen and used the beautiful  Stampin Up Uk English Garden Designer Series Paper and the Envelope Punch Board, its not just for Envelopes , it's very versatile...

I punched out a tag using the oval punch and stamped with the Awesomely Artistic stamp set, and the die cut for you is from the Treat Bag die ....  and finished off with Night of Navy seam binding ribbon, and Thick Bakers Twine...

I also made a card to go with it combining two stamp sets, Awesomely Artistic and my fave of the moment Garden in Bloom just looks fab in the Crumb Cake and Night of Navy and Very Vanilla colour ways,  I love this card and it says exactly what I wanted to convey , so hope my friend likes it as much as I do,...

Here I am with Jan one of my team members, I am the one in the Mint Macaron Top although in this photo it looks more like Tempting Turquoise , funny how we demos always seem to talk SU colours, Ha ha...

Stampin Creative Blog Hop Casing the Stampin Up Catalogue

It's time for the Stampin Creative monthly Blog Hop,  you may have pop here from Pip's fab creations HERE

This months hop is all about casing the catty,  Do you lack time,  has your Mojo gone on a summer hols,   Need a card in a hurry then casing is the way to go,.

You don't need to copy directly, you don't even need to have the stamps that have been used on the card or project,  I chose cards that I don't have the products that have been used  just took the layout and played about,..   I have 3 cases for you hope you like..

First up is a card on page 35

I used  the new Expressions Natural Elements, lovely wood veneer words, the DSP used is from the English Garden DSP , Crumb Cake Card Stock, finished off with Hello Honey flowers punch using the accents punch set, Linen Thread and Rhinestones. The embossing Folder used is the Large Polka Dot.

Next up is a card cased from page 11

For this one I used a set that I hankered a long time for, it first made its appearance in the U.S when photopolymer came on the SU Scene, the Endless Birthday Wishes,  I did a very happy Dance when I saw this in the catty,   I turned the design vertical and made the cake pop other than in a window....added some stamped sprinkles, I coloured the image using the blender pens for a watercolour effect, .......

Next up is one from page 42,  though I don't have this set, it will be in my basket in the very near future there is some amazing creations in blogland using it,
but for now I have again used the Endless Birthday Wishes set, I also wanted to show that if you like the Washi Tape effect but didn't have any to hand then you can just make your own with strips of DSP.........

Well that all from me for now, do pop back soon as I have been trawling the challenge blogs again, and you might just like what I have made...

But for now please follow on to Eimears blog HERE where some fab delights await you

Freshly made

Hello again,

Today's card is using the Freshly made sketch #FMS191 HERE a simple sketch with lots of scope I think, again. I have used the  stamp set Garden in Bloom again and the same colours, just because they were still on my table, I am excited about this new Annual Catalogue and I have loads of products on my very big wish list, Whilst i have used a retired colour in the Costal Cabana, you can swap it out for Pool Party and thats just as nice, ...

The speckles are from another amazing new set called Awesomely Artistic, I stamped the flower twice once on the mat piece and again on another piece of card and then cut and layered up using a dimensional, to get the textured look , I screwed the flower into a ball and then unfolded it before layering on top of the matted image....

Hope you like, see ya soon.....

Colour Me Subtle with Garden in Bloom Stampin Up Set

Hello There,

I happened upon a great challenge blog this week, called Colour Me Card Challenge, HERE and the challenge is the use of These fabulous colourways.

When I saw this challenge CCMCC±76  I knew exactly what I wanted to make, I fell in love with a stamp set from our new Annual Catalogue called Garden in Bloom,
Now I loved Painted Petals so this one I was pleased to see since Painted Petals didnt make the new catty,....

It was a bit of a faff to line up the 2nd part of the stamp I won't lie, but you know what I wasn't going to be too precious about it, it is a watercolour effect kinda of set so I just stamped and plonked and I just love the results. I hope you do too!

I used crystal effects to add droplets of water to the petals and leaves,

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop "Casing the catty with Cherry on top DSP" Stampin Up UK

It's that time of the month for another Stampin Creative Blog Hop,  welcome if you have popped over here from Mikaela's blog wasn't Mikaela's  HERE creations fab,   the challenge to the team was to use up coming products from the new Stampin Up annual catalogue thats launching 2nd June, wooohoooo
you are in for a treat soooo many fab products to choose from you wont know where to turn,....

Right onto the hop on my pre order I ordered just the new in colour inks, pens and cardstock and a DSP paper pad, I earned free spends ( one of the things I love about Stampin Up is that you can earn freebies) but there was loads on my wish list that wasn't on the pre order list so I am saving my free spends till 2nd June, so for the Blog Hop I was limited somewhat, but that didn't stop me from creating it only set the challenge more for me, and thats what challenges are all about don't you think?

I used the cherry on top DSP and cased a card totally on page 109 of the new catty and made a tiny Jackson bag, whilst the previous Jackson bag was made using a 12x12 sheet this one used a 6x6 sheet from the new size paper pad, I do love making dinky creations.. It stands 1 1/2 inches high not including the handles,   I used the Gift Box Punch Board for this....

With these cards I have used the Delightful Dijon and Tip Top Taupe colours with the Petal potpourri , on the 2nd of june you can order from the retiring catty, spring catty and the new annual catty but just for one day only!!  Please do follow on the Blog hop to Caro's blog  HERE she has some fabulous things to share with you too,..
