Celebrate with Balloon Bash

Today I inked up my free stamp set Balloon Bash I got in  Orlando for the Stampin Up Leadership,  I am joining in the CC&S Blog Challenge ±111 HERE this weeks challenge is a sketch, I have to say I found it pretty challenging, but then that's what it's all about isn't it.

The colours I used were Bermuda bay and Crushed curry, the matching ribbon and button is a free product from the Stampin Up  sale a bration collection , I did a little masking with the candles, a very simple card that makes a colour impact I think.... I flipped the sketch on it's head and layered up the sentiment...

Valentine treats the Stampin Up way.....

Hello there,
Today I was busy busy busy making loads of Valentine treats for Paul to take to his Disabled club, I must confess I used a retired product in the stamp that I used sorry,   but the rest is current, oh my those strawberry hearts smelt relish, and just as well I was making them down my studio or else there would not have been many left if Stamford had got his mitts on them for sure...

Anyhow retired or not I wanted to share how such a simple design made for a beautiful gift for someone, I made 22 in all, I used Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Dazzling diamonds Glitter Card stock, and finished it with a bow using the new Painted Blooms Cotton Twine I won in prize patrol at leadership, I also made the wrap with a die from the apothecary die set....

Pretty sweet Huh!

More Convention Swaps

Hello to you,  I have some more swaps that I made for Convention to show you, this time I used the Stampin Up Ornamental Pine set , and I Brayered a  2 1/2 inch circle that I punched out on a  large square sticky note, you can get these in Sainsbury's I used Pool Party Ink and stamped the Fir branch in Wild Wasabi Ink, and then stamped the cones in Early Expresso as too the sentiment, I then used a glue pen and added just the right amount of dazzling diamond glitter, these are small cards and were soooo easy to make and quick too, they were very well received and did get some very lovely compliments I as rather proud, one demo across the water showed it on her blog and said it was a wow card, wow thanks for that, ...

I do recommend the Brayer that Stampin Up sell, I had a very old one that has a metal handle and felt that it was hard when I rolled it on the card stock, I gave up and gave in and bought a new one and soft oh my it was lovely to use  it was a pleasure to make so many swaps, I was very pleased with my purchase!

I love the stamp set too and planning on using it loads, I have seen some fab things on Pinterest using it, so I will be doing a lot of casing for sure.

If you would like to purchase any of the items i have used please use the current hostess code situated on the right at the top

Stampin Up Brussels Covention Swaps 2014

One of my favourite parts of stampin Up is the get togethers with fellow demos, and the taking part of swaps is a tradition I am sure your aware of, This years convention was the best so far for me,  firstly I won a Golden Ticket Free entry into Convention in Brussels, secondly I won a prize patrol that included not one but two pack of  Blendibobs aka Blendabilites, but the best part for me was that I had  5 of my downline there with me,  our wider group of demos are so friendly and such fun to be with it just made it a pleasure to be there, ..

I took part in an organised swap called the WOW swap, I cased the bird part from a demo from New Zealand called Kristen , I first saw her card on Pinterest and it wowed me so much

that I thought I would share this wow with my fellow demo stampin stars group, .. this creation is an 8 x 8 inch square card.

I stamped the splashes from the gorgeous grunge stamp set inked it in versamark and heat embossed in silver embossing powder, used  the All Is Calm Washi Tape from the Winter catty, and used the beautiful Four Feathers bundle again stamping and embossing in silver powder onto our vellum, Basic Grey mono colours and the thread is from the silver bakers twine, and the lush glitter card. The sentiments came from the Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set, sequins and staples also from the Winter catty

Hope you like it, I don't think the photos do it justice its very very sparkly in real life, I didn't manage to keep one for myself, as I gifted it to a fabulously creative german demo called Jenni Pauli HERE who inspires me immensely  I was very flattered indeedy when she told me she was putting it into a frame for her home, wow!!, I am however planning  class on this so if you are interested please do shout me.

Whilst this was my wow swap I did make a little box for a keyring for those demos in my team that attended convention, I will show that another time....

If you would like to make a purchase from my shop link on the side bar, please use the  current hostess code on the top right side bar and I will send you a small gift.   Current Hostess code  43Q44UK6

Celebrating World Card Making Day with Stampin Up Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set.......

This has to be a favourite of mine Kinda Eclectic, I LOVE it, ...

Awhile ago I went to  crop held by a fellow Stampin up Demonstrator called Carole Bryson, we stayed in a Girl Guides unit in Croydon , so not far from home but I chose to stay over with a few of my friends that were going, one of whom cropped for more than 24 hr straight, gosh Cathryn has stamina for sure..

At the whilst traditionally at Scrap Booking crops you do your own thing Carol gave us fun challenges, to make a calendar, a name badge, a tag, a scrap page,  I used the above stamp set as we had done a Card class with Carol using it, and I love the colours , Basic grey, Crushed Curry, Hello Honey and crumb Cake ,  I also wanted to try a technique I had seen a fabulously Talented american demo of the same name as me, Kimberly Van Diepen she used Embossing Paste with her spots mask,  I loved this and wanted to try and Cathryn kindly donated her paste to me so I could play and this is the result!

Do hope you like.... Thanks for popping by...

I changed it up a bit using the start punch instead of a flower, and changed one of the colours, and stamped part of the sentiments onto whisper white card to make it pop a bit more, I love the way it came out, ..... I used metallic silver thread from my cotton box behind the star..

Stampin Up Bloom with Hope meets Work of Art

Hello there All,   Isn't it HOT, ..  Ahhh I know we mustn't moan but Jeeesh it is sickly Hot for me! And that Thunder and lightening Thursday night that we wasn't expecting til Saturday, it my it rocked my house, and zapped my beautiful hanging go basket clean off the fence and smashed everything below it, oh how gutted I felt when I came down next morning, I heard a smash bang wallop when the lightening struck , whilst I was hiding under the duvet , .  Well it's a tad cooler today I am happy to say, ...

Today's showing is using the two Stampin Up stamp sets in the title,  the summer is here and I am in flower mode, ...  I am also loving the new card shape that is storming it's way into the card making world, oops pardon the pun there! tee hee!!

I went on you tube to get instructions, I just entered block cards in google but could only find 12x12 and wanted to do it in A4 so played about with measurements using the Stampin Up Grid paper pad (magnificent tool)  and I also wanted to do a diddy one, I love  diddy cards......

When making these designs, you just want to go with how big your squares are going to be, and make sure you have 7 scores one way and cut in the eighth and 2 the other way and cut in the 3rd and you shouldn't go wrong,...

I used Blendabilties to colour the flowers and leaves on the small one, Costal Cabana and Daffodil Delight, and the papers on the larger ones is from the Moonlight paper stack
I also used the flower punch from the new Itty bitty Accents

Enjoy, ..

Stampin Up Chalk lines

Hello again,
How is the weather with you, here it has been another mega hot day, and tonight I have been bombarded by flying ants and big moths, Jeesh they are big too, ewww!

Today I have another creations, (gosh I hope I can keep this up) I am loving creating at the mo!, Chalk Lines, what a fab set of our new polymer stamps, these are super border stamps love em! I hope you will two, I have used two of the four designs on this card, as well as the blended bloom yet again, coloured with the blendibobs and sneaking in the text from work of art, I love these fonts!

Well I hope you liked my creation for today, and thanks for popping by, see you real soon

Stampin Up Blendabilties with Blended Bloom

Hello there my friends, apologies for not being around and sharing my creations, it's been one hellva few months, We have had a new kitchen put in, a new lift for Paul, it has been chaos in one form or another, but all seems to be settling down now,   I have however been busy too on the creation front too..
And with the new catty arriving I thought I would share some bits with you and hope to inspire you, we are now selling alcohol pens Stampin UP call them Blendabilties ME ! Well I call them Blendibobs ,  tee hee, my funny names for things,   Well as a demo I can pre order a few, not a lot but a more than enough to be getting on with anyways,

I have to be honest when I go first got them I was ugh, to me they are nothing like (C's) and nothing like (P's) but a few pointers in how they work I was well and truly hooked!  COLOURING is back BIG time, yipppeeeee!

Well here is a sneak of what's to come in the making,

Whilst they were putting in the new lift, I could do nothing but sit and watch, we were all couped up in the living room, Stamford sure didn't like it at all, what could I do we couldn't move an inch, but I made sure I had my pens with me and some stamped images from the Stampin up Blended Bloom stamp and played, with different ways to use them, once done, well now how to use these wonderful vivid images, oh yes that wonderful new card blank on the scene, the block card, me I would have called it Baby's blocks, ..   I incorporated the Stampin Up Chalk Lines and the fabulous Hostess set Bloom with hope, Lurve this!
Well that's all for now Folks I hope you have enjoyed, see you real soon I have lots to share, or why don't you find my new Facebook page Simplyfairies....

I used the flower from the new  Itty bitty accents punches and the petite flower punch, and the sentiment came from the matching stamp set for the itty bitty accents punches Something to say and I coloured my rhinestones with the blendibobs , aka Blendabilties .... The colours used are Costal Cabana, Crushed Curry, ...

Well bye til next time, ..  Enjoy your weekend, hope the rain don't stay too long in your neck of the woods

Welcome blog hoppers, Cayleigh has such fab inspiration doesn't she, ....  thank you Cayleigh ..

We had our team training day Saturday, and I love these events for all the chatter, the make n takes, and best of all the swaps,

My swap used the Blessed Easter single stamp, hence the title!

At a recent class, I demo'd the masking tape technique  and got the ladies to have a play themselves, whilst I used the tape as three stripes, my good friend Shirley chose to make a cross design with it, so I cased this design  and came up with my swap,
I used gorgeous grunge to help the design along, I was really pleased how it came out, ....  Simple, yet stunning,,....
The colours I used were basic black, so saffron, whisper white,.....  Shall we take a look....

Here is some more swaps from Saturdays team training day, ..
Made by Sarah Lower, Karen Franks, Sue Bridge, Andrea Nichols, Cary Buckham.

My Digital Studio... (MDS)

Well MDS (My Digital Studio) is well and truly here, I don't know about you but I am very software shy!!   I can do something well enough when shown, but I don't have the patience to spend too much time over things, nor do I have the time if truth be known!!

I needed some flyers for a Big London Show I was promoting Stampin Up with Stephanie-Emma and Natalie, and I wanted to advertise some of my upcoming classes, I decided to get to it and use MDS to help me get them out there, ...

Now I could have gone for the FREE version BUT for only £13.95 it kinda makes sense to get the full version, I love that it has retired images on there and so some of my favourites I can still use and show and if you like them and missed them first time round you can get them again...

I won't lie this flyer took me 3 days in all to get just as I wanted it, obviously I didn't spend 24hrs on it but a fair amount of time spread over 3 days....
I thought it showed a fair amount of products on their, embellishments, shadow stamping, layering, DSP,   ...  You can purchase MDS through my online shop and download it straight away!!
Now I have  a great all dayer on the 26th Oct as you can see on the flyer, we will be making a Christmas Banner, a box for it to go in and some Christmas Cards, the fee includes a goody bag of products you will use on the day and there will be more than enough left over to take home with you and make more!!  Also includes a light lunch and refreshments throughout the day..
It's not a good picture, you can't see the glitterati that's going on, it really is stunning,   The day is £35 and a 50% deposit is needed to secure your spot.
Just email me @

Toil & Trouble washi tape Halloween......

Hello There, I hope you are enjoying the sudden warm weather we have been having the last few days, I know I am...

The other day I said that I have been on a secret mission, whilst I would have loved to have been a bond girl, I am rather much more like Miss Money Penny!!  But I loved my secret Mission, well in the end I did!!

Have you ever come across a product that is soooo NOT you!!  Well when I was asked by our Stampin Up country manager Paula and her PA Kelly would I like to design some bits for the upcoming Stamping Up Creative tour I jumped at the chance!!  A chance to play with products that have not yet come into the country could I not!!

When my parcel from the lovely Kelly arrived I opened it and my heart sank and I started to feel sick what on earth am I going to make with these, I got quiet  tearful, I will be honest my head spun and not with ideas,  for a couple of weeks I left them in their packet and looked at them now and then and thought ack what will I do with that skeleton oh my and shoved them back in their package, and then I left myself with one day to play, and I had no choice but to get focussed and ink them up after all they were going to be shown around the country to a lot of demonstrators far more talented than me so I had to put my big girl pants on and get down to it!!

Well I can tell you once I started I couldn't stop, and in the end I wondered what on earth it was that I didn't like about what was in the package oh yes that skeleton, Lol and he is on nearly all of the creations, I found him kinda cute in the end!!

Would you like to see them, YES I hear you shout get a move on!!   Here they are....
Do you like my mummy cupcake, I made it last year as a sample so I do hope no one gets hungry and eats!!

I LOVE this picture so much I made two as I wanted one for my display at the Allie Pallie show I did.., I got the frame from Sainsbury's....

I did use extra items of my own, Gorgeous Grunge Stamp set, Sassy Salutations, Off The Grid, Tags for you, Halloween Bash and The Witches Brew DSP papers, Natural Trim, Linen Thread and Candy Dots, Tag a Bag Gift Boxes.  1 3/4 Circle Punch, Label Bracket Punch.
Colour Scheme inspired by the Witches Brew DSP, Summer Starfruit, Pumkin Pie, Basic Grey and Basic Black....
